With over 20 design modifications from its Buy Glock 19 Gen5 Semi-Automatic predecessor, the G19 Gen5 proves that even the world’s most refined polymer pistol can improve. Among the most notable changes is the Glock Marksman barrel with improved polygonal rifling that supplies a better gas seal and less fouling.
The gen 5 19 retains the reversible magazine latch from the Gen4 but takes it further by incorporating a genuinely ambidextrous one-piece slide lock. That’s a nice upgrade for lefties. The magazine and magazine well have also been refitted. The magazine now features an orange follower so you can visually identify voids and an extended lip for grip. The mag well has been burned for faster reloads. The finger grooves are gone, and the front strap features a cutout for magazine removal. Bottom line: It’s the same Glock 19 gen 5 academy you know and loves. Now it’s a bit more friendly to shooters.
